A crowd of 140 people gathered on the 7th of September to celebrate BbP's Annual Fundraising Cocktail Party. The event was held at the beautiful Airways Hotel who together with Monier sponsored the event. PNG's Prime Minister Hon. Peter O'Neill and Lynda O'Neill took part in the celebrations and the Prime Minister presented Anne-Sophie with a donation of 250,000 Kina on behalf of the National Gaming Board. The auction sold a dartboard to Sir Theo Constantinou of Monier for 30,000 Kina - which is probably worth a mention in the Guinness Book of records. Buk bilong Pikinini is grateful for the support from donors and guests who bought tickets and raffle tickets enabling the organisation to raise nearly 400,000 Kina in total. BbP Patrons Drusilla Modjeska and Bart Philomen were also present alongside Tania Nugent, the producer of our new documentary.

The venue had been decorated by the talented Sylvia Pascoe (pictured above right) of Pascoe Promotions and Montina and sound and lighting was provided by Blue7Team.

The new BbP documentary Literacy: The Buk bilong Pikinini Way was greatly enjoyed by everyone present at this wonderful event. More pictures coming soon
