10th Anniversary fundraising celebration
2017 is a milestone year for Buk bilong Pikinini and we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary on the 8th of April with a big “Back to School” party.
The “Back to School” party will be a celebration of the organisations' achievements over the past 10 years and will include a screening of our new documentary entitled “Turning the page: Illiteracy in Papua New Guinea” by Tania Nugent. The documentary will be introduced by Peter Botten, CEO of Oil Search, who has sponsored the documentary and also supports the creation of libraries through the Oil Search Foundation.
The tickets will be sold for K500 per person and K5000 for a table and will go towards ensuring that Buk bilong Pikinini can continue to provide life-changing programs for the children of Papua New Guinea in the future. We aim to raise 500,000 Kina to support the expansion and maintenance of our libraries and programs across Papua New Guinea. We wish to continue to provide PNG children with an opportunity to have the best possible start to their education journey - wherever they might live in PNG.
The celebration will be held at the Gateways Hotel, courtesy of Steamships Ltd. which has supported Buk bilong Pikinini with libraries in Port Moresby, Lae and Goroka since 2009.
The evening will include a 3 course meal, beverages, lots of gifts and prizes, auction and entertainment. It will be a trip down memory lane with fun and games. BbP is looking forward to spending an enjoyable evening with partners and friends.
