BbP UPNG Library celebrate Universal Children’s Day
On the 21st of November, our UPNG Library Learning Centre had an incredible day of activity, learning, and family engagement! It was full of excitement as we celebrated Universal Children’s Day under the theme "Nurturing Futures through Nutrition and Fitness." The day was all about inspiring children to embrace healthy habits for a brighter future.
A huge thank you to athletes Lera Kose (Karate), Rayleen Bauelua (PNG Women’s Soccer), Kele Lessy (PNG Men’s Touch Football), and Mickey Tamarua (PNG Olympic Committee) for sharing how nutrition fuels their athletic performance and leading the children through an exciting obstacle course with fun and games. thanks to @Rayn Pini for assisting in organizing this.
We also had the wonderful Deloitte team not just helping but fully joining the fun! from cheering the kids on during the obstacle course to jumping into the games themselves, the Deloitte team—Ethelynne Bundu, Roselyn Owen, Stephanie Potoi, Gau Arua, Alice Makati, Adrian Neroggai, and Nellie Makamet—proved they’ve got the moves and the team spirit to keep up with our energetic little ones!
Not only did they bring their enthusiasm to the activities, but they also prepared a vibrant spread of healthy, colorful fruit snacks to wrap up an exciting day!
But it wasn’t just about the children—parents got involved too! In a special session, BbP’s Nutrition Education Officer, Leo Khim, guided parents through practical tips from BbP’s newly published Nutrition Education books. He explained how healthy eating directly impacts their children’s ability to learn and grow.
Again a big thank you to everyone who made this event extraordinary!
Let’s keep empowering our children with good nutrition and active lifestyles. Together, we’re shaping bright, healthy futures!
