It is vital for children to learn how to protect themselves from this preventable and devastating disease which affects millions of people in PNG. Malaria has a very negative effect on children’s overall health, so it is vital to try to avoid contracting it too often.

BbP’s Teachers receive annual refresher training with a strong focuson technology and digital skills

Buk bilong Pikinini (BbP) has this week conducted its annual teacher refresher training at APEC Haus for the organisations’ 50 teachers working in its Library Learning Centres around the country. The training has been sponsored by ExxonMobil PNG (EMPNG) as part of a partnership which also includes sponsorship for the BbP learning App as well as BbP’s Literacy Week program and celebrations.

Ela Motors Donates Bus and Golf Tournament sponsorship to Buk bilong Pikinini

Buk bilong Pikinini (BbP) will celebrate the generous donation of a 15-seater bus with Ela Motors on the 23rd of November. Children from BbP’s Koki Markets Library Learning Centre will be in attendance to sing and test out the new bus.

BbP is grateful for the donation as it will allow the organisation to better service its 12 LLCs in Port Moresby and provide the students with the opportunity to go on educational excursions.

Buk bilong Pikinini (BbP) was invited to set up a stall at the Theodist Education Pavillion at the Morobe Show on the 4th of November, 2023.

The BbP stall had an information booth to provide parents with information about the organisations’ free Early Childhood Education program, enrolment dates for 2024 as well as the great impact the BbP program has on the children’s English literacy skills, numeracy skills and general awareness.
