When I Grow Up I want to be a Vet with Dr Tania Areori

Dr. Tania Areori is PNG’s only female Vet and is our role model for our upcoming reader “When I Grow Up I want to be a Vet.” Dr. Areori is living proof of a childhood dream which has become a reality. That it has taken work and sheer determination is evident and we are so happy that Dr. Areori is assisting us to inspire more children to follow their dreams.

When we first approached her to take part in producing the book she agreed straightaway saying that she would have wished to have such a book growing up. Our mini professional Elaine Gela, 5 years old learnt so much from Dr. Areori including how to carefully examine animals and understand the types of injuries and diseases they may have.

A great thank you to Dr. Tania Areori, and the teams at NAQIA, the RSPCA and Kila Kila farm for your support to produce this reader. Photography by Roan Paul @roanpaul50 and Richard Bridger BbP. Thank you to the Sir Brian Bell Foundation for your ongoing support with sponsorship and @wilddogbooks for editing/design support.
