Buk bilong Pikinini (BbP) has marked World Malaria Day with awareness events at all Library Learning Centres across PNG. It is vital for children to learn how to protect themselves from this preventable and devastating disease which affects millions of people in PNG.

We are today celebrating National Day of Disabled Persons! Our Inclusive Education Officer Noah Agino has been busy reading his story ‘I am Noah’ of growing up with a hearing impairment to the children at our LLCs.

Today will see the opening of an additional Motu Koitabu village Buk bilong Pikinini (BbP) Library Learning Centre (LLC). The first was opened in Pari village in 2019, followed by Vabukori in 2022 as part of a public-private partnership between Steamships Ltd., National Capital District Commission, Motu Koita Assembly, the Baruni Community Development Association and BbP. BbP also has an LLC on Tatana Island in partnership with City Pharmacy Limited.
